How to deal with Negative Reactions from your Warm Market

Your warm market is the closet people around you.  Any reaction from them is the most painful or memorable.

I got my worst reaction from my boyfriend of five years, whom of all the people I would have expected him to be more supportive or at the very least objective.   Instead he gave me the laugh of five great antagonists could ever muster! He kept laughing even when I was tearing up.

I got to hand it to my mom for killing me softly.  Here I was excitedly mixing her hot choco (nutriblend chocomixx) and telling her about the new company I just joined, there she was ready to shut me out.  I was asking her to join me since she was my number one in my list because naturally she’s my mother and she would be the number one person not to say NO to me right? Boy was I wrong! She muttered “Ikaw nalang anak” (You do it yourself child) and watched television like nothing happened.

Do I do anything after that? For A few minutes none but after that I remembered how much I had to shell out – my mind just started shouting – YOU BETTER WORK GIRL OR YOU WILL JUST PROVE EVERYONE RIGHT and YOU JUST FLUSHED YOUR MONEY OUT THE DRAIN!

So how do I deal with it?

1)      Breathe.
2)      Breathe again and swallow your pride. Your natural reaction will naturally be negative because you want to prove something to them and you will defend it with all your heart.
3)      Smile. Forced or not just do it.  Smiling gives you time to rethink pitching techniques or your reaction.
4)      If you are like me and can’t stop the overproduction of your tear ducts, leave the room quietly like nothing happened and let it all out.  Come back only when you can face the person.
5)      Remember the money you had to pull out your bank.  Your investment that would have been able to buy the latest iphone instead you invested on this.
6)      Remember your excitement and how much you could get out of this
7)      Forget your warmest market, you can get better markets.  Imagine how many millions of people there are in the country.
8)      This people love you, worried about you and are just protecting you so give them a little credit no matter how painful they showed their reactions.
9)      Think – I will come back with a vengeance! A happy 6 figured check in your face!
10)  Remember who you are doing this for.  Your deepest reason.  Love for Family right?

All in all you just have to accept it.  Cry if it hurts but don’t dwell on it too much.  Move on!  Anything grand is not meant to be easy! MLM also needs a little effort.

My first time in MLM and in anything business

My Grandmother would always say, our family is not business minded we are trained to be professionals, office people.  Such a poor mindset because the only time professionals become rich is when they invest in something – a business.  So is our family doomed to stay in the mediocre arena? I definitely hope not.

A month ago I joined a MLM group.  I have high hopes for it not because of their promises or what I believe they could offer, rather what it can make me -  A Richer person: monetarily, spiritually and emotionally.

NO negativity for me please.  I would like to envelope myself with positivity, great leads and radiant smiles.  I know the start won’t be easy but hopefully in the end I get the quality of life I truly deserve.
